The Corded Blind Fitting Collection is a four-part range covering cord cleats, enclosed cord guides, chain tensioners and coordinated installation kits.
DU-CBF-001
Wall-mounted metal cord cleat designed to retain and wind loose
blind or curtain cords securely when correctly positioned.
DU-CBF-002
Enclosed cord guide designed to retain an operating cord in a
controlled and tensioned position against a suitable substrate.
DU-CBF-003
Roller-blind chain tensioner for continuous loop chains, with
fixed wall mounting and controlled operating movement.
DU-CBF-004
Project safety fitting kit containing the selected retention
device, compatible fixings, instructions and required product
information.
Australian Safety Requirements
Supply and installation must both be checked.
Corded internal window coverings and their related fittings are subject to Australian mandatory safety requirements. The selected fitting, product packaging, warning information, installation instructions and final installed configuration must be coordinated as one complete safety system.
Loose Cord Control
The final installation must prevent a loose cord or chain from
forming a hazardous loop within the lower accessible area.
Installation Height
Cleats and cord guides must be positioned in accordance with the
applicable installation requirements and the supplied
instructions.
Secure Structural Fixing
Retention devices must be fixed to a sound substrate using the
correct number and type of screws or approved fasteners.
For Australian residential installations, the installer must confirm
the applicable 1,600 mm height requirements, 220 mm loop limitation
and, where relevant, the 70 N cord-guide retention requirement.
Final installation should be checked against the current mandatory
standard, manufacturer instructions and site conditions.
Supply Documentation
Product information must travel with the fitting.
The fitting should not be treated as an isolated decorative accessory. It forms part of the complete corded window-covering safety system.
Installation Instructions
The installer should receive clear instructions covering the intended fitting, correct fasteners, safe positioning and final cord-retention configuration.
